0:00 Speaker A: It's finals day here at red bull rampage. Speaker A: 2025, Just a couple of hours before the start. Speaker A: On our way down, we're going to catch up with some of the riders, see what their strategy is, see what these last couple of hits will bring to them, how they're going to chill out their nerves, because on the way up, I was terrified. Speaker A: Some of the riders will be heading off to the right. Speaker A: Hannah Bergman, Vinnie Armstrong. Speaker A: We've got other riders like Georgia ASL heading off to the left. Speaker A: Cami Nogueira doing that insane El Presidente drop.

0:25 Speaker A: This venue is one of the most iconic, I think, for me, of all Red Bull Rampages. Speaker A: Everyone's going to finish in the corral, and we'll crown a women's Red Bull Rampage champion in just a little bit. Speaker A: How are you feeling this morning? Speaker B: Good. Speaker C: I'm excited. Speaker C: I'm definitely nervous. Speaker C: The weather hasn't been as good as we were hoping. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker C: Dealing with a little bit of wind, but, yeah. Speaker A: Well, I can't wait to see you ride. Speaker A: And great luck. Speaker C: Thank you so much. Speaker A: As everyone probably knows, Casey Brown is out.

0:51 Speaker A: We're at the top of the Princess Killer, as they're calling it. Speaker A: This is the most technical thing I've ever seen. Speaker A: You can't even see over there. Speaker A: It looks like a waterfall. Speaker A: We're probably about 80ft over the deck where she hid. Speaker A: And this is where you start at. Speaker A: So this is heavy. Speaker A: This is a heavy, heavy feature. Speaker A: Okay, so this is the Battleship. Speaker A: This is what everyone's been talking about. Speaker A: Once you commit, you're there.

1:16 Speaker A: I mean, there's no way down once you're on top, but to continue the line. Speaker A: And this is just the most insane feature I've ever seen on any sort of cycling vehicle. Speaker A: Oh, my God. Speaker A: At least I can hold on to something. Speaker D: This is. Speaker A: This is the Battleship, and I don't want to get in the middle of it because I'm too scared because there's a cliff on the other side of me.

1:42 Speaker A: There's also a cliff on my left side, but there is zero room for error on this. Speaker A: And I just, like, feel my stomach right now, so I can't imagine what it feels like to do this gap. Speaker E: Yeah, I'm blown away. Speaker E: The women are so impressive. Speaker E: For me, it's an interesting perspective because I actually rode Rampage at this venue. Speaker E: It did not go well. Speaker E: Yeah, 20, 15, 14, and 15. Speaker E: Actually, 14 went a little better, but I was also safer.

2:09 Speaker E: 15 Bad. Speaker A: It feels like they've gained 15 years of experience in two years. Speaker E: You're so on point, the experience gained is unreal, and just, like, the composure is insane. Speaker E: I was watching them just, like, joking around up there in the start and then trying to go top to bottom. Speaker E: I'm like, you guys are next level with this mental strength. Speaker E: So unreal. Speaker A: Who's your money on? Speaker E: Well, the easy pick here is Hannah Bergman.

2:35 Speaker E: She's been looking most dialed out of everyone, but there's two riskers out there that are gonna risk a lot and hopefully will pay off, and that's Cammy and Chelsea. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker E: Their runs are risky, dangerous. Speaker E: What do you think? Speaker E: Do you have picks? Speaker A: I have to agree. Speaker A: Like, those were my two picks, but. Speaker E: Now I've forgotten about Robin. Speaker E: Bro, this is too. Speaker E: This is too much. Speaker E: And then. Speaker E: And then Georgia's like, more. Speaker E: Oh, man, this is too tough. Speaker E: If I had to put money, it would be tough. Speaker A: Yeah, for sure.

Speaker A: She's been dealing with it for a while, but incredible to see her riding after dislocating her elbow just a little bit.

Speaker A: Just checking on every last little bit before the El Presidente drop before her runs later today. Speaker A: Just saw you come down, hit a little bit of your line. Speaker A: Like, what is the strategy for this morning's practice?

3:57 Speaker G: So yesterday I linked up El Presidente with this new section. Speaker G: I was just going from the lander of Lemon Drop, so this time, I'm gonna go through, hit Lemon Drop. Speaker G: I've got my speed checks. Speaker G: I'm dialed here, so I just want to link a little bit more of it together. Speaker A: You've looked so good all week. Speaker G: Roller coasters, I tell you, with the weather, crashes, friends getting injured, but literally, that is rampage.

Speaker A: Looking all day, brother. Speaker A: That is the most insane thing I have ever seen. Speaker A: Yeah, it's, like, so far out blind.

Speaker A: And you're not even close to being able to see the landing. Speaker A: So you have to get your speed way, way before and then just commit wild. Speaker A: El Presidente. Speaker A: Ride it, and then just, like, couple of practice runs this morning and then into finals. Speaker I: Yeah, pretty much just did a T2B. Speaker I: Stoked on that. Speaker I: I just want to tick off a couple of tricks and we'll be on our way. Speaker A: Well, great luck has its final stay. Speaker A: Talk me through what happened.

Speaker D: She's a bit of a creeper off the ridge and got a little short on the landing. Speaker D: Like, nothing, almost. Speaker D: I thought it was nothing at all, and it just hung me up, shot me into the rock bank, which then sort of bounced me down the ridge. Speaker D: Yeah, we tried to make it work. Speaker D: We got scans and.

6:05 Speaker D: Doesn't seem like anything's broken, but there was a lot of separation in the AC and. Speaker D: Yeah, I can't. Speaker D: I can't lift. Speaker D: I tried to ride this morning. Speaker D: Can't lift my front wheel up, and not one of those things I can push through, so I'm pretty gutted. Speaker A: Ronin done first Red Bull Rampage. Speaker J: Yeah. Speaker J: Yeah. Speaker J: First time here is pretty. Speaker J: Pretty ins saying to see it in person. Speaker A: Have you been up to the top? Speaker J: No, No, I don't. Speaker J: I don't got. Speaker J: I don't got them. Speaker J: They're locked in here.

Speaker K: I live just, like, five hours away, so I.

6:56 Speaker K: This is my fifth year, actually. Speaker A: In a row. Speaker K: Yeah. Speaker K: Yeah, actually, it is. Speaker A: What do you think about it? Speaker K: I love it, dude. Speaker K: I love coming out and hanging out. Speaker K: Usually I'm out riding like, the old sites, too. Speaker K: It's super cool to. Speaker K: I mean. Speaker K: I mean, it's gnarly to watch, so it's cool to hang out here and check it out. Speaker A: What do you think about the women's. Speaker A: Like, we're just almost halfway through the. Speaker A: The second runs, and, like, those. Speaker K: Some of those wines are so gnarly, and you can't really even tell till you get here.

7:21 Speaker K: You see, like, the size of the mountain. Speaker K: It's insane. Speaker A: I know. Speaker A: I've been, like, a loss for words all day. Speaker A: I'm like, well, you don't. Speaker A: How do you. Speaker K: And, like, remember what year was it when Brendan and Simon did the. Speaker K: And now the women are doing it, too. Speaker K: It's like, holy. Speaker K: It's so gnarly. Speaker A: How do you feel? Speaker L: Over the moon? Speaker L: Absolutely. Speaker L: There's no feeling like it. Speaker A: You look dialed. Speaker A: Like, it didn't even. Speaker A: It didn't look like you were anxious or nervous. Speaker A: Did it feel like that? Speaker L: Yeah, definitely. Speaker L: At the top, when I was watching, the other girls dropped.

7:46 Speaker L: I was getting a little, like, whoa, I need to lock in. Speaker L: And it just wasn't happening. Speaker L: And then. Speaker L: Yeah. Speaker L: Darren at the top was like, all right, one minute. Speaker L: And I was like, all right, well, this is it. Speaker L: And then somehow got in the zone and then just played some tunes and had some fun down the way. Speaker L: Went a little deep on one of the first drops, but made it down, and it was just. Speaker L: Yeah. Speaker L: So much fun. Speaker A: And tell me about the, like, the finish. Speaker A: One, two, three. Speaker A: Like, the women's runs were just crazy, insane. Speaker B: I. Speaker L: Like, all these girls out on the mountain, like, all week long, even.

8:13 Speaker L: Even the ones that didn't drop, Like, I look up to them all the time, and, like, I just try to learn as much as I can because they're just, like, the most incredible people and, like, their composure through events like, this is, like. Speaker M: I don't know. Speaker L: It's hard. Speaker L: I don't know how they do it. Speaker L: It's incredible. Speaker A: Chris Vinhorn. Speaker A: Congratulations. Speaker A: Like, how do you feel? Speaker A: Take me through all of the emotions of the day. Speaker B: Sorry, one second. Speaker B: Roman's coming in. Speaker I: Yeah. Speaker F: Ro.

8:44 Speaker M: Yeah. Speaker B: Okay. Speaker A: What is it like to see Robin, like. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker A: What is it like to see Robin come down like the defending champion? Speaker M: Yeah. Speaker B: So sick. Speaker B: It's awesome that all the girls got two runs, two clean runs. Speaker B: Like, I think that just shows a lot. Speaker M: Like. Speaker B: Yeah, it's. Speaker B: It's been an insane day. Speaker B: So. Speaker A: Yeah. Speaker A: Is there anything that you take away from this? Speaker A: Like, looking forward, you're like, is there something you learned that you. Speaker A: You Think you'll take into next year for sure. Speaker B: Just overall, like, imposter syndrome is for everyone, but, like, just being here and, like, just being able to do clean runs, it just kind of deletes that thought a little bit.

9:17 Speaker B: So just, yeah, a bit more confidence in my riding, which I think will go a long ways and just coming hopefully back for next year, breaking to, like, crack on with some tricks and just keep it going because it's fun. Speaker A: Kristen, congratulations. Speaker B: Thank you. Speaker A: Great job. Speaker B: Thank you. Speaker A: Thanks, Cami. Speaker A: You, like, roller coaster is an understatement for you. Speaker A: You said a little bit about it earlier today, but thank you.

9:44 Speaker A: But just talk me through, like, the week leading up to it. Speaker A: Like, your mindset this morning. Speaker F: Dude, my week was crazy. Speaker F: I dislocated my elbow three days ago. Speaker F: The first, I was like, no way that I'm gonna be able to do this. Speaker F: And at some point, the universe sent me a sign. Speaker F: I was like, okay, maybe I can do it. Speaker F: And I started to build my confidence step by step, and I ended doing two runs. Speaker F: So I can be more stoked. Speaker A: I mean, definitely, like, for me, like, so much heart.

10:11 Speaker A: And El Presidente, like, how does that feel? Speaker F: El presidente is so good. Speaker B: It's fun. Speaker F: I love that. Speaker F: I love. Speaker F: I love big drops. Speaker A: So looking forward to next year? Speaker A: Like, what do you think? Speaker A: Like, what have you learned? Speaker F: What are you looking forward to most for next year? Speaker F: I want to put more tricks on my land, for sure. Speaker F: I want to do backflip and put more tricks, so I'm going to be working the whole year for that.

Speaker A: How do you feel? Speaker C: I'm so happy. Speaker C: Like, the podium positions, the cherry on top. Speaker C: But just, like, getting my run that I wanted to do is the goal. Speaker C: Having completed that feels amazing. Speaker C: And then also watching everyone else absolutely destroy the runs, all of it feels incredible. Speaker A: I feel like there was such a lead up because obviously you've been thinking about this for, you know, your whole life almost.

11:05 Speaker A: But then especially last year, like, you know, getting rid of your job to go full time, like, getting hurt and then coming back, like, is this. Speaker A: Does it feel like a release? Speaker A: Like, what does that part feel like? Speaker C: Yeah, it feels incredible. Speaker C: Like, I don't know, like, having the whole year from last year to, like, be prepared. Speaker C: Like, after watching the girls absolutely crush it last year and then now I have had the whole year to, like, build up to this. Speaker C: It feels like you would think it would feel like Pressure.

11:31 Speaker C: But honestly, it just feels like preparation. Speaker C: Like, I feel like we've just been putting in the work and now it just to this moment, it. Speaker C: It's showing, like, how ready we are to be up there. Speaker C: So. Speaker A: Yeah, because I think this year, especially because all you guys did second runs. Speaker C: Yeah, totally. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker C: Like, the weather is perfect today, which really helps a lot. Speaker C: And. Speaker C: And everyone wants to try and push themselves maybe now that it's year two. Speaker C: So everyone gave it a shot on run two, which is so amazing.

11:58 Speaker A: Well, congratulations. Speaker C: Thank you so much. Speaker A: Cj, you are battered and bruised. Speaker A: I feel like. Speaker H: And broken. Speaker H: Battered, bruised, and now broken. Speaker H: It was a rough go for me. Speaker A: Take me through. Speaker A: Take me through the week. Speaker A: I know you. Speaker A: You bruised your heel early. Speaker H: I bruised the heel. Speaker H: And the physios here are so amazing. Speaker H: They helped me manage it. Speaker H: With one day of rest, I was back on the bike in a lot of pain.

12:24 Speaker H: But, like, managing the injury, my concentration just wasn't there anymore. Speaker H: And the result is now I need a surgery. Speaker A: What happened? Speaker A: Where did you. Speaker A: Was that this morning or. Speaker H: It was yesterday about midday. Speaker H: I was trying to link up two parts of my line that I'd ridden already, but I'd ridden them independently. Speaker H: And putting them all together, I misjudged the speed. Speaker A: It didn't end the way that you wanted it to, but, like, what an accomplishment to be one of the 12 women to compete at Rebel Rampage, the pinnacle of the sport.

12:54 Speaker H: I will never let go of that. Speaker H: I want to come back and get some redemption. Speaker H: Like, I've dreamed about getting through that finish corral and being in that start gate. Speaker H: So those are my goals for next year. Speaker A: Well, heal up, cj. Speaker H: Thank you. Speaker H: Thank you so much. Speaker A: Brett Reeder. Speaker A: I mean, Red Bull Rampage legend, I feel like, slopes style legend. Speaker A: How are you feeling? Speaker A: How is it here? Speaker N: Oh, the vibes are good.

13:19 Speaker N: We just finished the women's finals here, and Robin Goombs is your second in a row champion, which is really incredible. Speaker N: When I saw Robin and her crew up on the venue, like 6:30am her diggers were fixing a line and they had lights on. Speaker N: They're like, making sure the run was going to work for her. Speaker N: And that's the kind of that. Speaker N: That's the kind of that puts the rider on the top shelf.

13:47 Speaker N: And the riding level this year is like, way up from last year. Speaker N: Like, I. I actually can't believe it. Speaker N: Like, I. I didn't expect that. Speaker N: And like, they're. Speaker N: Yeah, they're challenging the men. Speaker N: Yeah. Speaker N: Like. Speaker N: Like, I think in the future, like, the whole Women's and men's category maybe won't even be divided. Speaker A: No, I totally agree. Speaker A: This was like, this blew my mind, like scared me even to walk on some of that stuff.

14:13 Speaker A: So thanks for. Speaker A: Thanks for doing it and thanks for being here. Speaker N: Yeah, thanks a lot. Speaker A: Casey Brown, you glad you're alive? Speaker A: I said that before, but I'm glad you're alive. Speaker M: Thanks, Elliot. Speaker M: So am I. Speaker A: That was one of the heavier crashes, one of the heavier lines. Speaker A: Like I really just want you to like take me through the process of thinking about that line and then like what happened during the crash.

14:40 Speaker M: Right, yeah. Speaker M: So the line was originally done back in 2015 by Nico Vink and back then they didn't have water so his landing was absolutely flat and didn't go up very high. Speaker M: So watching the video I was inspired because it was like a move that looked like a couple steps up from the laundry chute but also something that looked doable because we have water and we can build the landing like 15ft higher.

15:06 Speaker M: I rolled into it. Speaker M: Me and Hannah did rock, paper, scissors to like who was going to try it first and cuz we both thought everyone thought it looked good, looked sweet and I think it's still that someone might hit it. Speaker M: I mean as soon as you drop into that shoot, you're pretty much committed to the whole thing. Speaker M: So at that point I had no choice but to try and correct it going off the end. Speaker M: So I let off the brakes to try and straighten out as much as I could and then I popped off the end.

15:33 Speaker M: I actually haven't seen the video or anything because I'm too scared to watch it right now. Speaker M: But yeah, I popped as hard as I could so I had as much air time as I could to straighten. Speaker M: But. Speaker A: So what is it, what was it like to see all the women compete this year? Speaker A: Like everyone getting full second runs. Speaker M: It was amazing to see all the girls crushing it today. Speaker M: Like they had the most perfect conditions and perfect runs. Speaker M: Like I guess amazing when you don't get the wind so that like they're dropping in with confidence and they're doing exactly what they want to do and that's like the dream come true.

16:03 Speaker M: And they all got two runs each and absolutely slayed. Speaker M: So it was so beautiful to see everyone come down and have their dream runs and show their style and their tricks and stuff. Speaker M: It was unreal. Speaker A: Big recovery for you or not too bad. Speaker M: I'm not sure yet. Speaker M: I know that I'm probably in for surgery probably next week back home and I don't know what the soft tissue damage is yet, so we'll see.

Speaker M: This is pretty sweet. Speaker M: Crutches are new and, you know. Speaker M: Yeah. Speaker A: Well, we can't wait to see you back. Speaker M: Yeah. Speaker M: Thanks, Ellen.
