Speaker D: Sometimes you're going to be standing on a bridge and you look down and it's fine. Speaker D: You know, you're just dropping straight out. Speaker D: Some other time, you're going to be on a cliff. Speaker D: You can barely place your feet in the right position for the takeoff. Speaker D: And sometimes at a platform where there's this big swells and the water is constantly moving. Speaker D: So it's a big challenge every single dive. Speaker A: Macaulay, not bad. Speaker A: Joey. Speaker A: Handling the swells and the waves. Speaker A: Torpedo like brilliant dive. Speaker D: And I think that's what we like. Speaker D: It makes us think it makes you, you know, stay a little bit more sharp. Speaker D: It doesn't become, like, repetitive or automatic. Speaker B: You. Speaker D: You have to stay sharp constantly. Speaker C: Yeah. Speaker C: There's five judges looking and picking the dive apart. Speaker C: They're looking for a strong takeoff, grace and elegance and good form in the air. Speaker D: This is high. Speaker D: You're gonna get hurt. Speaker D: There is a second element of fear and is the difficulty of the dives we're doing. Speaker D: We know what we're doing. Speaker D: However, there is always a chance that something goes wrong in the air. Speaker D: And what happens if something goes wrong in the air? Speaker D: It's less than three seconds of free fall. Speaker D: You're going to hit the water and you're going to hit it hard. Speaker D: So that also makes you scared. Speaker A: A lot going on in the air on that one, Joey. Speaker B: These dives carry a lot of risk, and one of the big fears of all the athletes is getting lost in the air. Speaker B: And particularly with a dive like this,. Speaker C: You know, you're trying to get rid of that little voice in your head that's telling you pretty much not to do what you're about to do.
